A School Day That Gets Children Outdoors

School trips should feel memorable, hands-on, and properly useful in the classroom, too. We create farm visits at Jubilee Camping in Fordingbridge that bring educational learning with nature into the middle of the day. Children can tour around the farm in the trailer, see how the land is worked, and enjoy a setting that feels very different from a normal lesson. During lambing season, we can include bottle-feeding lambs, which gives pupils a close look at animal care and daily farm life. A picnic helps break up the day and gives everyone time to relax in the fresh air. We tailor each visit to suit your school, so the day can match your group, age range, and learning aims.

What Your Class Can Experience On The Farm

A visit can include a day in the life of Farmer Dave, giving pupils a clearer picture of the jobs, routines, and responsibilities that keep a working farm moving. We can also introduce Chase the Sheepdog, helping children see how dogs work alongside people on the farm rather than simply watching from the sidelines. That practical side often helps pupils connect what they see with topics such as animals, food, habitats, and the countryside. Teachers often want trips that hold attention without feeling overplanned, and farm activities do that naturally. We keep the day grounded, friendly, and shaped around what your school wants children to take away from it at Jubilee Camping.

Why Farm Visits Stay With Children

Time outdoors can help children stay curious and engaged in a way that's hard to recreate indoors. Farm visits also give pupils a clearer sense of where food comes from and how animals are cared for. Shared experiences such as meeting lambs or riding through the farm in a trailer often spark better questions back in class. In Fordingbridge, that mix of fresh air, movement, and real-life learning can turn a simple day out into something children talk about for weeks. Get in touch to plan a farm visit that brings learning to life through real experiences children will remember.
